Biden changes White House website to be more inclusive, draws criticism

As the Biden administration probably knows, the news travels fast these days. And while the president may not be as fan of Twitter as his predecessor, Twitter users have a lot to say about the changes he’s making.

Specifically, changes to the White House website, which included restore an accessibility page and one Spanish version website set up by the Obama administration and then deleted by the Trump administration. He still quotes Obama, but Biden’s agenda is similar in its respect for people with disabilities, introducing dark mode, alt text or visible captions for photographs, and a large text option for the website. There are also LGBTQ + included pronoun options for contacting the White House, which was one of the most criticized changes on Twitter.

Of course, it was not all bad, with many Americans praising the changes as “small steps,” while signaling that they were ready to do more.
