Biden describes plan to reverse Trump policies on first day of presidency

President-elect Joe Biden will overturn some of President Trump’s most controversial policies and address “four overlapping and worsening crises” in his first 10 days in office – the pandemic, the economic recession, the climate climate and the racial inequalities.

Driving the news: That’s according to a note from Biden’s new chief of staff Ron Klain on Saturday. After Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday, he “will be signing about a dozen actions to combat the four crises,” Klein said.

  • Between January 25 and February 1, Biden will address the climate crisis, criminal justice reform, take steps to expand access to health care, and undertake immigration reform – including reuniting separated families in the border as part of Trump’s immigration policy.

For memory: All of these measures had already been announced, but this is the first time that Biden’s schedule has been revealed.
