Biden Dodges Question Over Rationale for Leaving Unvaccinated Migrants in U.S.

President Biden did not directly respond to a question from Fox News’ Peter Doocy on Tuesday asking why his administration continues to allow untested and unvaccinated illegal immigrants into the country while urging and in some cases demanding that Americans take the coronavirus vaccine.

“You just said that there is no wall high enough and no ocean wide enough to protect us from the virus,” Doocy asked the president. “So what’s the idea behind letting untested, unvaccinated migrants cross the southern border into US cities in record numbers? “

Biden responded by saying he had not rescinded an order urging unvaccinated migrants to cross the border.

“We did not withdraw the order which is sometimes criticized for saying that unvaccinated people should cross the border,” Biden said, adding that unaccompanied children are a “different story.”

Doocy then attempted a follow-up question, but was drowned by other reporters before the president called someone else.

Biden has been widely criticized for continuing to allow the release of illegal immigrants to border towns while showing symptoms of the coronavirus, and the number of migrants infected with the virus has jumped nearly 1000% in certain border sectors.

“This White House not only allows our country to be overrun with many criminals crossing the border, potential or current MS-13 gang members, but now they are leaving a flow of people infected with COVID as they say for students in the first and second year to wear a mask, or tell adults to vaccinate or wear a mask, ”Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said last week.

Last week Doocy hurry Deputy Senior Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on the same issue and received a similar response that did not directly address the specific allegations of hypocrisy that were made on social media.

Earlier this week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expanded a Trump-era policy to limit the entry of migrants to the United States, citing coronavirus concerns, but this policy does not apply to migrant children.

“This order was issued on August 2, 2021 and will remain in effect until the CDC director determines that the danger of a further introduction of COVID-19 into the United States from covered non-citizens has ceased to exist. ‘be a serious danger to public health, and the Order is no longer necessary to protect public health, “the CDC said in a statement on Monday. The agency said it would review the situation every 60 days “to ensure the order remains necessary to protect public health.”

The border patrol predicted earlier this year that 184,000 migrant children will enter the United States illegally this year, and more than a million illegal immigrants have been encounter at the border since the start of the exercise.
