  • The New York AG said Tuesday that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women.
  • Later that day, President Joe Biden called on Cuomo to step down as governor of New York State.
  • Cuomo’s allies have tried to phone Biden officials, but their calls are being ignored, NBC News said.

Allies of Governor Andrew Cuomo are trying to contact officials in President Joe Biden’s administration, but their calls are being dropped, NBC News reported.

On Tuesday, Biden said Cuomo is expected to resign following the release of a New York attorney general report finding Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women. He denies the allegations.

Cuomo has been locked in his official residence in Albany since Tuesday, according to reports.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Wednesday that Biden had not spoken to Cuomo about the allegations.

However, Cuomo’s allies made efforts to call Biden officials on Tuesday repeatedly following the president’s comments, but their calls were deliberately ignored, NBC News said.

A White House official told NBC News it was clear there would be negative fallout if it turned out that Camps Biden and Cuomo were holding secret talks.

Insider has contacted the White House and Cuomo’s office for comment.

Allegations against Cuomo described in the New York Attorney General’s report include that he kissed assistant Lindsey Boylan without her consent, ran his finger through the neck and back of a female State Trooper, and grabbed her buttocks of an assistant while cuddling and posing for Photos.

The report details how Cuomo’s office worked to discredit Boylan, Cuomo’s first accuser, by leaking his briefing to American reporters.
