President-elect Joe Biden plans on his first day in the White House to promulgate four executive orders, overturning President Trump’s efforts on a number of issues, the campaign told Fox News on Monday.
The executive’s actions would include returning the Paris climate agreement, reinstating the deferred action program for child arrivals, returning to the World Health Organization, and repealing the Trump’s travel ban targeting majority Muslim countries.
The pledge came after multiple media outlets, including Fox News, screened Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election. On Monday, the Trump campaign vowed to continue challenging the results, citing issues with the ballots and the counting process.
Monday’s news marked the start of a longer effort to reverse a variety of policies pursued by Trump. Biden promised to repeal Trump’s tax cuts, for example, and said he would reverse the Mexico City policy, which Trump reinstated shortly after taking office in 2017.

This policy limits international funding to organizations that promote abortion. Other abortion-related policies, and those that weaken the Affordable Care Act, will likely also be on the verge of a fight in a Biden-Harris administration.
The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Biden’s decision to return to WHO reflected a broader effort to tackle the coronavirus when he took office. Democrats have denounced Trump’s decision to leave the transnational organization amid a pandemic. Trump has defended the move as a way to hold the organization accountable for alleged missteps during the pandemic.
In an official move, the president-elect formed a coronavirus advisory council dominated by scientists and doctors.
“The challenge that awaits us now is still immense and growing, as is the need for bold action to combat this pandemic,” Biden said after being briefed on the virus. “We are still facing a dark winter.”
