Protesters in Portland identifying themselves as Antifa targeted a Democratic campaign office on Sunday, smashing windows and painting messages like “F — Biden” and “no president” on the building.
A group of people gathered in Laurelhurst Park on Sunday evening before marching north and rallying outside the Multnomah County Democrats Building located in the 3500 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard.

Several members of the group began to mark the office with graffiti and shattered several windows in the building, the Portland Police Office said in a press release. Police released several photos showing the damage.

Another video shared by Independent Media PDX showed Biden-Harris campaign messages behind windows shattered by protesters. A symbol of anarchy was also spray painted on the building.
Police said the group quickly left the scene and headed south towards Laurelhurst Park. Officers arrived at the scene and made targeted arrests of people who had engaged in criminal activity. The rest of the group dispersed around the neighborhood.

Another video showed the group appeared to be wearing black bloc clothing walking through the park hitting the drums. The bicycle officers entered and ordered the group to stay on the sidewalk. A police cruiser also arrived at the park and sounded its siren.
Three suspects, James Walker Prettyman, 24, Thomas Mollrocek, 33, and Maximillan Jennings, 22, have been entered into the Multnomah County Detention Center for criminal mischief.

The incident occurred hours after Governor Kate Brown decided not to extend an order increasing law enforcement presence under Unified Command, a partnership between the Portland Police Office, the Office of the Multnomah County Sheriff and Oregon State Police, to respond to election unrest.
Celebrations erupted in Portland on Saturday after Democratic candidate Joe Biden was screened to win the 2020 presidential election. Police halted illegal street racing in North Portland, where someone also shot a gun in the air and the crowd set off fireworks. No one was hurt. A separate celebratory rally downtown near the Pioneer courthouse ended that evening without incident.
Several dozen people marched past a building occupied by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), chanting “turn on the lights, get out and fight,” according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

It took about five days from the polls closed on Tuesday before Biden was declared president-elect, and before that unrest continued in Portland, with protesters leaving a path of destruction through town, smashing windows downtown businesses and throwing projectiles, including fireworks, at officers. Earlier in the week, Brown called the Oregon National Guard in Portland and riots were declared. However, the Unified Command said the law enforcement response prevented more serious crimes such as looting and arson.
Portland, a city with a history of clashes between far-left groups Antifa and far-right Proud Boys, has seen more than five months of near-night violence following the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis at the end of May. . Far-left protesters have regularly targeted government buildings with fireworks and Molotov cocktails and sought to confront law enforcement.
