Biden tells veteran nurse she looks like a freshman in college

Maybe it’s a good thing he’s 2,000 miles away.

President Biden had a bizarre and affectionate moment Monday during a videoconference event with healthcare workers in Arizona, in which he stopped to praise a nurse on her youthful appearance – even gushing that she looks like “a first year”.

Biden got back to some of his old “scary” antics when he responded to the nursing supervisor’s detailed description of kicking out COVID-19 by asking him his age.

“Are you a freshman in college?” Biden asked Brittney Hayes at the end of a conversation in which she outlined the process of getting vaccines to people at the State Farm Stadium vaccination site in Glendale.

“No. No,” said Hayes, who described herself as being from Arizona State University at the start of the conference – but made it clear that she was “the head nurse” of the vaccination site.

“You look like a freshman!” Biden said laughing.

“Why thank you,” she said through her mask.

But Biden was not done.

After Vice President Kamala Harris in turn asked questions, Biden continued to show disbelief that Hayes was a medical professional.

“And you’re a – a nurse?” Biden said during the video call, which was released publicly.

“I am, I am a nurse. I am a nurse. I’ve been a nurse for about nine years now, ”she says. Registered nurses typically have at least two years of college or a bachelor’s degree.

The President replied: “I know that having been a big consumer of health care, I can say – I know the vice president knows it, when I say it – the doctors let you live, the nurses make you want. If there are angels in God, they’re all nurses, male and female. And that’s no exaggeration. It’s God’s truth. “

Biden, 78, is infamous for intruding into women’s personal space, sometimes whispering advice in their ears or massaging a neck out of the blue.

Former President Donald Trump’s supporters dubbed him “Creepy Joe” during the 2020 campaign and happily handed out montages of him doing so.

Biden was even forced to post a video at the start of his campaign in 2019 in which he admitted to making people “uncomfortable” with his touch gestures and vowed to be “much more attentive” to the to come up.

Biden’s interaction with the nurse came just days after “Saturday Night Live” host Colin Jost joked about his practical record at the start of the show’s “Weekend Update” segment.

President Biden said on Friday he would go ahead with his $ 1.9 trillion stimulus package with or without Republican backing – because this economy needs a massage and Joe Biden doesn’t don’t wait for permission, “Jost snapped.

The President’s virtual tour had more than one uncomfortable moment. In a different presentation, Major General Michael McGuire of the Arizona National Guard told Biden – who ended his 1988 presidential run due to a plagiarism scandal – that other states are urged to rip off his state’s COVID-19 plan.

“Plagiarism is the highest form of flattery – that’s what we say – so if everyone wants to copy what Arizona is doing, we think we’ve figured it out here,” McGuire said.
