The US government is set to offer coronavirus booster shots as early as next month as the country faces a new wave of infections fueled by the delta variant.
Officials in the Biden administration are finalizing a plan that should recommend booster shots eight months after people receive their second dose, according to two people familiar with the deliberations who asked not to be identified. The plan is not yet finalized but an announcement could come as early as this week, they said.
