Vice President-elect Kamala Harris said on Tuesday that the Biden administration would take a more “humane” approach to immigration when the president-elect takes office next week.

She also pledged to “extend protections” for DACA beneficiaries and said the administration “will ensure that people receive [coronavirus] vaccines regardless of their immigration status. ”
The plan also proposes to add more immigration judges to reduce the backlog at the border, Politico reported.
She said the Univision Biden administration would also end Trump’s controversial policy of “dividing and separating families at the border” when parents arrive to seek asylum.
