After being blocked by @POTUS on Twitter for years during Donald Trump’s presidency, Chrissy Teigen has been officially re-followed now that Joe Biden has been inaugurated and has taken control of the account.
Teigen, was in Washington, DC, with her husband John Legend and their children at the grand opening, tweeted wednesday morning, “hello @joebiden, i was blocked by the president for four years, may i have a follow-up plz.”
Later that night, Teigen became one of the account’s 12 subscribers, including primarily White House accounts like those of First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Director of Communications of the White House Kate Bedingfield.
White House Director of Digital Strategy Rob Flaherty then tweeted the meme, “How it started versus how it goes” with a screenshot of Teigen’s request for @POTUS to follow her and a screenshot of the list of that follows.
“Sweetheart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be bothered,” she tweeted in response. “I probably should never tweet again.”
The legend starred on the Celebrating America special on Wednesday night and, according to Teigen’s social accounts, they arrived for rehearsals on Tuesday. Teigen also shared a series of photos with members of the National Guard, the National Mall and in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
In a lengthy Instagram caption, Teigen wrote about how happy she was that Trump was stepping down, saying, “History won’t be kind to you absolute psychopath. But I never was anyway.
“Today our great national shit is over, but the shame will last forever. With 2 indictments, the creation of 3 million LESS jobs, 403,000 deaths, a record approval rating and God knows how many crimes, we can officially say that Donald J. Trump is the greatest to be the fucking worse, ”Teigen wrote. “Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea that the guy with a steak barely cooked enough with brain-fed ketchup to power a light bulb that doesn’t even know how to close an umbrella is running the country.
In July 2017, Trump blocked Teigen after she tweeted “Lolllll nobody likes you” to him.
