Linda Torres, who appeared on the VH1 reality TV series Big Ang and sometimes on Mafia wives, is dead. Janine Detore, the sister of the end Big Ang Star Angela Raiola told TMZ Torres died at Staten Island University Hospital on Thursday, shortly after being diagnosed with Covid-19. She was 67 years old.

Big Ang, a fallout from Mafia wives in which Raiola (Big Ang) appeared, aired for one season on VH1 in 2012. Torres was a friend of Raiola, and has also appeared in cameos on Mafia wives. Raiola died five years ago from throat cancer.

Torres had recently undergone surgery following a diagnosis of breast cancer, according to TMZ. Her daughters had taken care of her after the operation and brought her back to the hospital after developing a fever, and she then tested positive for the coronavirus.

In a 2013 interview with MyEPK’s Mikki May on Big Ang and Mafia wives, Torres said, “Big Ang has been one of my best friends for 40 years. All the girls we date, you know, we get together, we throw parties, we shoot a lot of Boss, we laugh, we fight, we hang out with a lot of kids, we have a great time. Mafia wives is a little more serious. … In the Big Ang show, we are very down to earth and quiet, and we are looking for fun and no drama. My Big Ang is a drama free mom, but I’m her little pit bull.

Torres appears in the trailer for Big Ang below.
