A new head of the family has been crowned, paving the way for the start of the Cookout alliance’s inevitable implosion, the bloodbath.
Kyland, the Venice Beach account manager, won HoH for the third time this season. The competition sounds like it’s the chicken wire, ball challenge we’ve seen in previous seasons.
“Congratulations once again,” Derek Frazier told Kyland in the Have Not Room.
Kyland told Derek it’s been a very long day, but if someone wants to “check in” with him for 5 or 10 minutes, that’s okay.
“What I want to tell you and not the others is that I wasn’t trying to hit that last shot,” Kyland said of the competition.
“It’s your victory. I’m not taking it away from you. I had my own opportunity and I didn’t follow through, ”replied a dejected Derek.
“I didn’t mean to take it away from you,” Kyland apologized.
“You didn’t take anything from me,” Derek said.
Derek reminded Kyland that it was now an individual game and that he won fairly.
“I wasn’t trying to be selfish,” Kyland said, starting to cry and hugging Derek.
“At the end of the day, that’s what you have to do for your own game,” Derek said.
They then shared a hug.
Kyland told Derek that when it comes to his upcoming appointments, he doesn’t have a lot of “wiggle room.”
Kyland promised Derek he wouldn’t be going to OR this week.
“I just wanted to let you know,” Kyland said reassuring him that he was completely safe.
Kyland then went through several storylines for the next week and didn’t mention Tiffany at all. You would assume it’s because Tiffany is his target.
“I don’t know how I’m going to live the rest of this game, Kyland. I can’t win. To enter a final without HoH victories? Derek said starting to sob.
They sat on the bed and hugged again.
