Big Freedia shakes Jazz Fest Saturday May 4th

The next time a spring storm crosses and causes a power outage, simply connect Big Freedia to the network and back away. With a funk blazing party behind her, the New Orleans Queen of Bounce electrified the Congo Square scene at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on Saturday, May 4th. From "Release your Wiggle" to "Rock Around the Clock" to "Azz Everywhere", Freedia and his company roar as fiercely as the thunderstorms that blew the Fair Grounds in the morning.

Fortunately, the time had taken a dramatic turn when Freedia took the stage. At 16. the sky was so clear that they would probably have been able to watch Freedia's dance troupe sound from the International Space Station. As always, the Queen diva has invited dozens of her faithful subjects to join her on stage for a mysterious and chaotic group that requires no experience. If this scene does not smile, have someone check your pulse.

Anjelika "Jelly" Joseph, one of the very first singers of New Orleans, was about to join Freedia in sublime versions of "Karaoke" and "Rent". There are not many singers who can follow Big Freedia, but Joseph has the tips. Joseph is one of the founding members of Tank and the Bangas, a vocalist for the Revivalists and she regularly performs in front of the Pinettes Brass Band. Which means that Joseph lends his talent to four of the best bands in New Orleans, which means he lends his talent to four of the best bands in the universe, does not he?

The color of the costume of Freedia and her dancers was pale purple. You already know that Freedia was fabulous in a purple fedora.
