Big Main Event possible for WWE Fastlane

WWE has teased a big tag team main event for the upcoming WWE Fastlane pay-per-view.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville mentioned during tonight’s WWE SmackDown on FOX that they had considered a tag team match for Fastlane with Daniel Bryan and the WWE Edge Hall of Famer against Jey Uso and the WWE Universal Champion. Roman Reigns. Edge and Reigns also mentioned in separate behind-the-scenes segments that the game was in the works.

The script for tonight’s show had the tag team game appearing to be called off when Bryan vs. Uso was booked as the main event on SmackDown. By stipulation, Bryan would have won a singles title from Reigns to Fastlane if he could have defeated Uso. However, the Bryan vs Uso match at SmackDown ended in a double count and Bryan did not win his Fastlane title shot.

WWE hasn’t provided an update on Bryan and Edge vs. Reigns and Uso now that Bryan vs. Reigns isn’t happening, but we’ll keep you posted.

Fastlane takes place on March 21 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. This will be the last pay-per-view before WrestleMania 37.

Stay tuned for more. Below are a few photos from related segments from tonight’s show:
