Big WWE SmackDown Title Match Seems Delayed Until Royal Rumble

This week at WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn faced Daniel Bryan in an untitled match. Before the match started, Zayn continued with his weekly claims that people are trying to sabotage him and he does not get the respect of WWE officials.

Zayn and Bryan ended up scuffling at the back, but Zayn returned to the ring to win by count. After the game, Uso attacked Bryan backstage.

As reported earlier this week, Bryan is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. Dave Meltzer noted that WWE tends to delay the start of the feud until the TLC pay-per-view is over. That would likely mean Bryan vs Reigns won’t happen until the Royal Rumble in January.

Additionally, during last Saturday’s Talking Smack, Bryan set the stage for a rematch with Uso when he said he wasn’t happy to beat Uso with a small package last week.
