“He’s definitely the best quarterback I’ve coached against,” said Belichick. “There were quarterbacks who called their own pieces, but it wasn’t at all the same as what he did. He basically called up each play by adjusting and / or changing the play once he saw what the defense was doing. He was great at using cadence and recognizing blitzes, and more than any offensive player, he forced us to change and adapt defensive play plans.
Most people will likely react to this statement as obvious, and it’s just a testament to Manning’s career.
