Comedian Bill Maher criticized the ‘waking’ culture and said police funding and ignoring the theory that the coronavirus came from a Chinese lab for fear of being branded as racist are examples of the how “awakening” is going to “kill people”.

Maher added that he believed the refusal of major news outlets, especially the New York Times, to cover the theory that the coronavirus originated from a Chinese lab is another example of a “wake-up call” hurting people.
