“Dude, you don’t even have enough love to love yourself – you can’t love me.”
Billie Eilish’s new documentary The world is a little blurry dropped in this week and there discusses a number of personal things like fame, family, and even her past love life.
By now you probably know that Billie is very private about her personal life. But, she showed glimpses of her previous relationship with 24-year-old ex-boyfriend rapper Brandon Adams – who goes through Q and 7: AMP – in the film.
Billie even explained why the two broke up in 2019, saying, “I just wasn’t happy, and I didn’t want the same things he wanted and I don’t think it was fair for him.
“I don’t think you should be in a relationship, super excited about some things the other person doesn’t care about less.
“I was literally like, ‘Dude, you don’t even have enough love to love yourself, you can’t love me. And you don’t. Like, you think you love him. I love him, though, which is what made it harder.
“I haven’t found anyone else. I haven’t stopped having love for him. I just, like, spent time away from him for a little while and I was like, ‘Wow. I miss so much because I ‘I worry about you all the time. ‘”
Billie also shared how Q hurt her on Valentine’s Day. In the movie, someone asks him if he’s done anything for her. “I didn’t get anything. And the night before he had been really weird and distant and shitty,” she said.
Billie said Q was going on a trip with some friends. “I was just like, ‘You know what? Have fun. Do not worry about me. I’m miserable, and I miss you, and I would like you to talk to me, and I have no one else to talk to. ‘”
Thank you, Billie, for opening up to us about such a difficult (and, unfortunately, relatable) situation. You can watch the full documentary on Apple TV +.
