Billie Eilish Releases New Song “ So I Am ”

The Grammy-winning singer made his debut Thursday with a new song accompanied by a lightweight music video. The single, titled “Therefore I Am”, is available on all streaming platforms.

The lyrics of the song are about a mysterious person to whom Eilish sends a clear message: “I’m not your friend or anything / Damn you think you are the man / I think, therefore, I am “she sings.

“Stop, what the hell are you talking about?” Take my pretty name out of your mouth, ”she continues.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music on “Therefore I Am”. Eilish, 18, would not explain who – if anything – the song was written about.

“This song is very, very ready to perform,” Eilish said of the new track. “I’m very curious to see what people take away from it and also how they feel when they hear it. I don’t know. But yeah, it’s a bit mean. I love it.”

The video, accompanied by the song, was shot on an iPhone, she said, and shows it running around a deserted mall slipping snacks, including a pretzel, donut, drink, candies, chips and Chipotle chips in stores on its way.

The singer added that she “couldn’t wait” for her fans to hear the album she produced while being quarantined due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Eilish made history at the Grammy Awards this year, becoming the youngest solo artist to win Album of the Year. In all, she swept four of the top categories: Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.
