Last week, fans of the star got an unvarnished glimpse into her personal life and the creative process behind her hit debut studio album in the new Apple TV + documentary, which released Friday.

The doc follows her from the last part of the recording for – When we all fall asleep, where do we go? – at the 2020 Grammys, where she won five trophies out of six nominations at the tender age of 18.

As more is revealed, Eilish may struggle to find Q while she’s on the road on tour, and again when she returns home to Los Angeles, where he also resides.

She would continue to break up with him during a conversation before taking the stage for a concert at Pier 17 in New York.

Trying to be honest with herself, Eilish explained how she didn’t think the state of their romance was “ right ” for either.

“There was just a lack of effort. I was literally like, man, you don’t have enough love to love yourself so you can’t love me, man. And you don’t. [laughs] You think so.

With some time to think about ending the relationship, she admitted that she still loved Q.

“I’m not above him, I couldn’t find anyone else. I haven’t stopped having love for him, ”she said.

“ I just spent time away from him for a little while and I was like, ‘Wow I miss him so much because I worry about you all the time and I don’t want what you want and you don’t want what I want. ‘ I don’t want to fix it. I can’t fix it. I tried.’

There’s a scene in the doc where Eilish forgets the lyrics to one of her songs during a Coachella show and calls Q, apparently for support. Before hanging up, she throws the phone on the floor in frustration, as reported People.

Q would continue to break his hand after hitting a wall, and Eilish reveals to a friend, “I’m trying to get him into therapy. He’s so self-destructive.

In another scene, she revealed that Q didn’t get her anything for Valentine’s Day, when asked how they celebrate the lover’s vacation.

Eilish enjoyed a rapid rise to fame after her song, Ocean Eyes, in 2015, when she was just 13 years old.

Four years later, when we all fall asleep, where do we go? debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and went on to become one of the best-selling albums of 2019.
