Billie Wayne Coble murdered three members of his wife's family in 1989

Two men were released on bail after allegedly punching and swearing at an execution in Texas.

Billie Wayne Coble, 70, was put to death by lethal injection nearly 30 years after the murder of her wife's parents and brother.

His son and grandson, Gordon Wayne and Dalton, reportedly became violent by witnessing his death and were arrested after swearing and slyly.

The pair was then released on bail of $ 1,000 (£ 755).

The wife of Gordon Wayne Coble also reportedly caused trouble, but she would not have been charged.

Billie Wayne Coble is the oldest inmate executed in Texas since the return of capital punishment in 1982.

The veteran of the Vietnam War was convicted in 1989 of killing Robert and Zelda Vicha and their son Bobby.

Coble had previously kidnapped his wife of the time, Karen Vicha, apparently upset by the divorce that was waiting for them.

He was released on bail before killing his family nine days later.

During his execution, his son and grandson allegedly started swearing and kicking other people in the witness room, while Gordon Wayne allegedly hit the bedroom window.

The officers intervened and took them outside, where they were accused of resistance to arrest and disorderly conduct.

A prosecutor has already described Coble as having "a heart full of scorpions".
