Tyler Kroft broke his foot Monday at the opening of the activities of the organized team and will have to undergo surgery.
Coach Sean McDermott made the announcement on Tuesday, adding that there was no timetable for Kroft's return.
It's the same footing that Kroft broke last season when he was the Cincinnati Bengals, an injury that left him out for 11 games.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Beasley and center Mitch Morse, two other major players independent of the Bills this season, also do not participate in OTAs. McDermott said the two players had surgery on the central muscles a few weeks ago and were not allowed to participate.
Kroft was to be the tight starting point for the Bills after signing a $ 18.75 million three-year contract with the free agency team. He received $ 8.3 million guaranteed.
