Billy Joel had a nice birthday present – two of his daughters, 30 years old, joined him on stage during his show … to wish him a happy 70th.
The New York State of Mind presented a show in front of a packed house at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night – for the 64th time – but this concert coincided with the legendary musician's birthday.
So, his eldest daughter, Alexa Ray, is sure that his grandfather does not get away with a song sung in his honor … and took out Billy's daughter, 3 years old, Della Rosewith her for the occasion.
It's a nice sweet moment, and that even includes the awkward "… happy birthday, dear Billy / Daddy", confusion that almost always happens when you sing the song to a family member surrounded by 20,000 friends .
Classic.
And, in case you're wondering … Alexa is Billy's first child since her marriage to Christie Brinkley. He also has 2 daughters with his current wife, Alexis Roderick – Della and 1 years Rémy Anne.
Remy did not have any time on stage … but we are sure that Joel will have many more MSG concerts to get there.
