Bishop Sycamore’s football season appears to be in jeopardy as opponents remaining on his schedule have dropped their clashes following the resounding loss to IMG Academy and the fallout that followed.

With four opponents dropping out earlier in the week, the mysterious Ohio school was still set to play St. Edward of Lakewood, Ohio, St. Thomas More of Oakdale, Connecticut, and St. Frances Academy of Baltimore.

Bishop Sycamore’s football Twitter account revealed that the team were looking for an opponent for October 8, which would have been the St. Thomas More game. St. Edward wrote on his football account that he was looking for an opponent for his September 24 game, which would have been against Bishop Sycamore.

Max Preps has removed St. Frances Academy from the Bishop Sycamore program on its website. St. Frances athletic director Nicholas L. Myles told NBC News Bishop Sycamore is no longer on the schedule.

Fox News contacted all of the schools mentioned but did not immediately receive a comment.

DeMatha Catholic, Duncanville, Liberty and Johnson Central all decided to cancel games with Bishop Sycamore earlier in the week. Bishop Sycamore had a schedule filled with top-tier programs across the United States, but after losing to IMG Academy 58-0 and the revelation that the school tricked a marketing agency into being placed in a box national television, the handful of teams reconsidered playing the school.

Bishop Sycamore’s new football coach Tyren Jackson asked on his Twitter if there was anyone who wanted to play.

The Ohio school had been criticized after appearing to fool a marketing agency into putting it in a match in the spotlight on ESPN against IMG Academy. According to the Columbus Dispatch, Paragon Marketing Group planned to kick off the GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff, not ESPN.

Paragon chairman Rashid Ghazi told Awful Annoncing he wished he had done more research on Bishop Sycamore ahead of the game and said the organization was unaware the team played on Friday night as well.

According to Awful Annoncing, ESPN said it expressed concerns about Bishop Sycamore when he could not find any information about the school. Bishop Sycamore reportedly bailed out a conference call and provided a briefing sheet ahead of Sunday’s game claiming some of his players had been drafted by Division I schools.

Andre Peterson, the school’s founder and principal, rebuffed allegations that the school was a “scam.”

“There is nothing that I got out of that that would constitute it as a scam because I don’t earn anything financially from what we do. The reality is that I have a son (Javan) who is also in the program and has been in the program for four years, ”he told USA Today.

“If this is a scam and the kids don’t go to school and do what they’re supposed to do, then I’m literally getting ripped off. And more importantly, I’m hurting my own son. . So when people say things like that… I would literally take my son’s future and throw it in the trash. “
