Bitcoin upgraded to "B" by Weiss Ratings

Weiss Ratings revealed yesterday that it had passed Bitcoin from "B-" to "B". However, it is always recommended to keep a price correction before buying.

The highest rated Bitcoin becomes better

Weiss evaluates cryptocurrencies according to four factors: technology, adoption, risk and reward. These are often divided to give two marks, one for technology / adoption and one for risk / reward. A combined average of these is used to develop an overall score.

The technical / adoption score of Bitcoin has long been considered a strong "A", thanks largely to improvements such as the Lightning network. The risk factor has always dragged it, and all cryptocurrency, down.

However, recent price gains have improved reward, increasing the risk / reward up to a "C-" and giving Bitcoin an overall rating of "B"

Top Of The Heap, but not a purchase … Yet

So, Bitcoin makes the law, according to Weiss. After ten years at the top, the grandfather of all crypto-currencies still sets the standard by which others are measured.

However, despite improved ratings, significantly improved adoption and significant technological change, Weiss does not recommend the purchase of bitcoins for the moment.

The reason? The success of Bitcoin is its loss; These recent price gains led Weiss to anticipate a "substantial price correction". After that, we are advised to buy with funds that we can afford to risk.

This is a much more conservative message than the "best buying opportunity since 2015" announced last month. But Weiss continues to say that we are taking advantage of the first phase of a new bull market and that the risk / return assessment will continue to improve as a sustainable bull market develops.

Some people are never happy

Weiss tweeted a positive development for Bitcoin. Surely no one can be angry or offended by this? No matter who? No matter who? Bueller?

Well, there was a section of the crypto community that had something to say about it. Can someone guess who it could have been?

Yes, the Ripple Army seems to have taken Weiss's tweet as a personal affront. Three of the five comments in the article mention XRP, apparently because Weiss had failed to mention it in the tweet itself.

How dare you, Weiss does not mention XRP in a tweet about Bitcoin. I mean, it's not like Weiss was very positive about XRP or anything. Or, like Ripple, is also rated "B", with Ethereum.

Oh no. I mentioned Ethereum in a sentence about Ripple. Well, it will be the open door, so …
