COUNTY OF BRUNSWICK, N.-C. – An 8-year-old boy is recovering from being bitten by a shark at Bald Head Island Sunday afternoon.
That happened Sunday afternoon around 4 pm near S. Bald Head Wynd.
Officials say the boy was in the ocean when a shark caught him by the leg.
He was taken to the hospital with multiple puncture wounds, but should recover completely.
