‘Black Myth: Wu Kong’ looks like a gorgeous game inspired by the King of the Apes

Dark Myth: Wu Kong is an upcoming action-adventure game from a Chinese indie game studio. If you played the excellent last year Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice or the recently published Deadly shell, what is exposed here will be familiar. Dark Myth: Wu Kong takes the formula similar to souls and applies it to the classic tale of the king of the monkeys and the Travel west. Position shift, which is a central gameplay element in Souls inspired games like Nioh and Nioh 2, made an appearance. And at one point in the teaser, we also see the protagonist transform into two other creatures.

As in From Software’s games, it looks like the world will be just as much of a character in Black myth like the player’s avatar and the rest of the human cast. However, what is particularly notable about the presentation of the game is that it is built on Unreal Engine 4.
