After its first official gameplay trailer a year ago, Game Science is back with another 13-minute preview of Black myth: Wukong it is even more impressive than the first. The game is based on the legend of Sun Wukong (The Monkey King) and draws heavily on the original 16th century Chinese novel Travel west.
The new gameplay trailer shows off new character abilities like a split shadow dash, protective ring of fire, and new super skills. Over a dozen new enemies are also on display including a magnificent white dragon sliding across a vast frozen lake at 6:25 am. The beautifully designed scenes are rendered in photorealistic quality for some truly breathtaking moments.
The studio, founded by a group of former Tencent Games employees, has gone from developing Unreal Engine 4 to the latest Unreal Engine 5 with technical support from Epic Games. The upcoming RPG runs 4K resolution at 60 fps and supports NVIDIA ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, and Dolby Atmos.
Black myth: Wukong is expected to arrive as a one-time purchase sometime in 2023 for PC, Sony Playstation 5, and Microsoft Xbox Series X / S. Visit IGN’s Youtube channel for a full preview of the trailer.
