Black Ops 4 seems to bring back an original map of Black Ops

It seems that Treyarch is planning to bring back one of the original cards in Call of Duty Black Ops, the first of the series that led to Black Ops 4. In a teaser that shows a brief video and preview the upcoming content in Black Ops 4we see what appears to be the original WMD map Secret operations. The view of the big map of Secret operations is a memory that long-time players will remember years ago, even though it can be expected to have an updated look Black Ops 4 standards.

The fact that the card is displayed on the Twitter account of the game does not mean that we know exactly how it will be added. With Black Ops 4, Treyarch can put the card in the game in many ways. The most likely result is that it was added as a new multiplayer map because it was already playable in this form many years ago.

Another option is to add to the Blackout Card, a card that periodically changes to display different features and different places of interest. This method of adding a map seems less likely given the snowy state of the map compared to the rest of the map of Blackout. This would not exactly match the rest of the map, although its size does not seem to be a limiter, as Blackout already has a few sites to explore.

If it's a multiplayer card, you also have to wonder how it will be distributed to the players. It could be a card reserved for Black Ops Pass holders, or maybe Treyarch will give this card for free.

Regardless of the plan, it should not be too long before players discover and obtain WMD in one form or another. Teasers like the one above have been shared several times over the past few days to preview the upcoming content planned for the next operation.
