Report: Black Panther 2 begins filming in July, Tenoch Huerta Eyed For Villain

The fate of Black panther 2 has been in the air since Chadwick Boseman died in August. But now it looks like Marvel has figured out how to move forward with the upcoming sequel. According to the Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter, the studio has set a new start date for the film. Black panther 2 will begin production in July 2021.

Additionally, Marvel and director Ryan Coogler have also started the casting process for the new film. Tenoch Huerta apparently came aboard the sequel as one of his villains. However, the report does not specify which character he plays. Huerta is perhaps best known for his role as Rafael Caro Quintero on Narcos: Mexico. He also made the front page of the Spanish TV series Blue demon for three seasons and had a small role in the James bond movie Spectrum in 2015.

Marvel’s original plan was to start filming Black panther 2 next march. Of course, that was before Boseman’s death sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. Filming for the sequel is expected to last “over six months,” unlike the four-month filming of the first film. At this point, it’s still unclear how the studio will handle the character of T’Challa following Boseman’s death. But in a recent interview with People, Angela Bassett (Queen Ramonda) endorsed the idea of Letitia Wright’s Shuri becoming Wakanda’s new protector.

Black panther 2 The release is currently scheduled for May 6, 2022, but that date is subject to change.

Are you happy to hear that Marvel is making progress in the sequel? Do you have any theories about the villainous Huerta who stars in the movie? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
