Anglo-Guyanese actor Letitia Wright, star of “Black Panther” and Steve McQueen’s “Mangrove,” responded to a backlash after posting a controversial anti-vax video on Twitter Thursday night.
On Friday afternoon UK time, Wright tweeted: ‘My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention to post the video was that it raised my concerns about what the vaccine contains and what we put in it. our body… nothing else. ”

Without a comment other than a praying hands emoji, Wright posted a 69-minute video on Thursday night to the “ On The Table ” YouTube channel, which features lengthy comments from Tomi Arayomi, a senior leader of Light London Church and speaker, in which he questions the legitimacy of the COVID-19 vaccination, appears skeptical of climate change, accuses China of spreading COVID-19 and makes transphobic comments.
“These are the dangers of the world we are entering today, where if you say one thing often enough people will believe it to be true,” Arayomi says.
“This kind of science for convenience where I will believe in science when it suits global warming, but I won’t believe it when it suits the genre, when it bothers my particular ideology, is the very reason why, if you work in the UN, the World Health Organization, or in the mass media or in the media, the reason the public doesn’t believe you.

Marvel Cinematic Universe star fellow Don Cheadle floundered in the debate shortly after the article went viral. As the actor defended Wright, he eventually released a critical response to the video itself.

Responding to the barrage of criticism following his post, Wright had previously replied, “if you don’t follow popular views.” but ask questions and think for yourself …. you are canceled.

The UK recently became the first country in the world to approve a COVID-19 vaccine. The speed at which the vaccine was approved has been questioned by some, including US infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci. He has since apologized.
