Marvel’s Black Widow is the first MCU movie since 2019, and while Disney + shows have kept fans in the loop, they want the experience on the big screen. That’s why it’s not at all surprising that Natasha Romanoff’s solo outing broke the pandemic era record at the box office.
As reported by Variety, the film grossed more than $ 80 million – estimated at $ 87 million – at the U.S. box office on its opening weekend, widely beating the previous record holder Fast 9, which made around $ 70 million in its opening weekend.

But what about the Disney + numbers we hear you ask? Well, it’s rare for streaming services to officially confirm these numbers, but House of Mouse has officially announced that the film has made over $ 60 million for people paying for Premier Access around the world.
Overall, Black Widow won at least $ 218 million in its opening weekend. In comparison, Spider-Man: Far From Home made $ 580 million globally during its pre-pandemic opening weekend.
