BLACKPINK’s Lisa Set a World Record on YouTube!
Lisa made her solo debut with the title track “Lalisa” on September 10 at 1 p.m. KST, and the clip reached 100 million views on YouTube around 2:05 p.m. KST on September 12.
While YouTube has yet to officially confirm the record, “Lalisa” reached 100 million views in just 49 hours and 5 minutes (just over 2 days), faster than any music video in the world of a solo artist. The previous record is known to be held by PSY’s “Gentleman” at 2.8 days.
“Lalisa” may also have set a new record for the most views ever by a solo artist’s music video in its first 24 hours, although this has yet to be confirmed by YouTube.
