BlackRock emerges as Wall Street player in Biden administration

Wall Street bankers, and especially those at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., have long held senior positions in the White House. Under President-elect Joe Biden, such roles fall to the executives of BlackRock Inc.

A former Goldman executive has served as Secretary of the Treasury in three of the past four administrations, but the cabinet has so far been absent from the White House this time. Instead, two executives who worked at asset management giant BlackRock will be leading Wall Street representatives.
