Blade Runner: Black Lotus Opening Premiere at Crunchyroll Expo

Crunchyroll revealed the opening of their upcoming anime Blade Runner: Black Lotus during today’s Crunchyroll exhibit.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus is an upcoming animated series set in the cyberpunk world of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. A co-production between Crunchyroll and Adult Swim, Black Lotus takes place in 2032, either after the original film and before Blade Runner 2049.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, series directors Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama have shared the opening of the upcoming Blade Runner series with an original song by Alessia Cara.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus will feature the vocal talents of Jessica Henwick, Will Yun Lee, Samira Wiley, Brian Cox and more.

Crunchyroll Expo is a free, fully online event that runs August 5-7. To celebrate, Crunchyroll has partnered with Xbox to offer Crunchyroll Premium members and new free trial subscribers a free three-month Xbox Game Pass membership on PC.
