Blake Shelton takes his duties as a stepfather very seriously.
Appearing on “The Ride with Kimo and Heather,” the country music star, 44, spoke about her relationship with Gwen Stefani and how becoming a stepfather for her three children had an impact. on his life.
“I take this very seriously, but I also have a blast of it,” Shelton told interviewers. “I don’t take things so seriously that I don’t take advantage of this time because I really am, especially now that we’ve been in this business for five years. I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”
“I have a stepfather in my life who is one of my heroes,” the singer added. “I love my stepdad and he’s like a dad to me, so I have a great inspiration in my life on how to do that and what kind of a stepdad I want to be.”

A source close to Stefani and Shelton previously told People magazine that the boys “will play an important role” in the nuptials ahead.
“Gwen’s sons are just really strong, adorable kids, and they’re so excited that Blake and Gwen are getting married,” the insider added. “They can’t wait to be by their side.”
