Blake Shelton has a bone to choose from with Adam Levine.
In early February, pop sensation Miley Cyrus offered to be the singer at Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s upcoming wedding. Now, in a new interview with People magazine, Shelton gives his thoughts on Cyrus’ offer and is targeting fellow former “Voice” coach Levine in the process.
“Miley is one of the most talented singers I’ve ever met,” Shelton said. “She drives me crazy because she looks a lot like Kelly [Clarkson] of how they can explode with that voice.
“If I want to sing, I have to think about it and warm up. It’s unfair,” laments the 44-year-old “Happy Anywhere” singer.

“Gwen was showing me that she even said, ‘I promise to be the best I can,” Shelton continued. “I’ve known Miley for quite some time. [for her to have to say], ‘By the way, I’ll be nice when I’m here.’ So that was kind of him. ”
Shelton then revealed that he would also like to see Levine’s band, Maroon 5, perform at the wedding, simply because it “will cost” Levine, 41.

“I don’t know what we’re going to do, but I keep saying that Adam owes me a performance with Maroon 5, mainly because I want it to cost him,” Shelton said humorously. “I would rather have Miley as a human being.”
Earlier in the interview, Shelton reflected on his first encounters with Stefani, 51, when singer No Doubt joined the cast of “Voice” during Season 7 – noting his surprise when he realized that Stefani was driving a van.

“She had just had a baby [Apollo, with Gavin Rossdale], so there wasn’t even much friendship that first season, ”the country singer said. The thing I remember saying about her when people were asking was, ‘Oh my God, this girl is amazing. She drives a van to get to work! “I thought rock stars were driving Rolls-Royces, and Gwen was driving a black van.”
