Mark Hoppus received the “best news possible” following what appeared to be a terrible cancer diagnosis.

Hoppus learned last week that he has stage 4 lymphoma, which he says means the cancer has “entered four different parts of my body.”
The musician said Monday he felt “grateful”, “confused” and “also sick” from the chemo.

Hoppus remained positive throughout his diagnosis, previously telling fans on a live broadcast, “We are beating this cancer. It’s just a matter of time.”
The “All the Small Things” rocker first announced he was battling the deadly disease in June, revealing at the time that he had already endured months of chemo.
“It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m lucky to have amazing doctors, family and friends to help me get through this,” he wrote on Instagram. . “I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to stay hopeful and positive.”
Hoppus’ group mates Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge have both publicly expressed their support.
“Mark is my brother and I love and support him,” Barker told E! News in a press release. “I will be with him every step of the way on and off stage and can’t wait for us to play together again soon.”
DeLonge, who left the group in 2015, added via Twitter, “I, too, have known about @markhoppus’ cancer diagnosis for some time now.
