The rocker, 49, shared new details about his cancer diagnosis during a recent live stream on Twitch, which was recapped by Page Six.

“My classification is stage 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which means, as I understand it, it has entered four different parts of my body,” Hoppus explained in the video, which was captured. by a fan account and specifically undated.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (abbreviated as DLBCL) is a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes and is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The Always singer said he had to see the doctor the next day to see if the chemotherapy was having an impact.

“Ideally I’m going tomorrow and they say, ‘Congratulations, your chemotherapy worked and you’re done and you’ll never have to think about this cancer again for the rest of your life,’ Hoppus said.

He continued on an optimistic note, telling fans, “We are beating this cancer. It’s just a matter of time.’

Earlier this week, the rocker took to Twitter to tell fans he was preparing for a test that could “determine if I live or if I die.”

He addressed his 2.7 million subscribers, writing: “Sorry if I share too much, but it’s so surreal to think that this week I’m going to take a test that could very well determine if I live or die.

‘Thank you all for the positive thoughts and encouragement. I have read all of your answers and it means the world to me. Thank you. [prayer hands emoji]’

He continued with the Twitter thread by sharing an x-ray image with a circled portion that appeared to be a tumor with a message of hope.

Hoppus wrote, “I’m going to beat this with chemotherapy or bone marrow transplants, but anyway I’m determined to kick the cancer ** right in the nuts.” Love to you all. Let’s go. Heckin. Go.’

Last week, the Adam’s Song hitmaker looked upbeat and happy as he celebrated July 4th with a snapshot of himself with a huge smile on his face.

The singer and bassist seemed to be comfortable with his new bald look, even though he cheekily wished his fans happy holidays from “The Cancer Haver”.

Mark was sitting outside on a semicircular bench and didn’t seem to mind revealing his new bald look, a side effect of his chemotherapy treatments.

He wore a black ‘Los Angeles -vs-Everybody’ T-shirt, black white shorts, as well as classic black sunglasses.

“The Cancer Haver wishes you all a very happy 4th of July weekend,” he wrote, while putting on a gentle smile.

The punk rocker was probably partying at home, having revealed days earlier that he couldn’t leave his home except for medical treatment due to his low white blood cell count.

Even though he didn’t look as energetic as he did before starting treatment, Mark gave his Twitch followers an upbeat update last week.

“I actually watched movies, walked around, cleaned the house and hung out with my dogs,” he said with a smile.

“Then I didn’t just feel like a poisoned electrified zombie leaning against an electric fence like I did for the rest, the last two rounds.”

He first announced his cancer diagnosis on June 23 Tweeter: “This sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m lucky to have amazing doctors, family, and friends to help me get through this.”
