Blizzard Arcade collection reportedly ranked before BlizzCon online

Ahead of BlizzConline later today, it looks like a classic Blizzard three-game pack called the Blizzard Arcade Collection has been rated on a European leaderboard. [Update: BlizzCon has brought confirmation of the Blizzard Arcade Collection.]

The Blizzard Arcade collection apparently contains The Lost Vikings, Blackthorne, and Rock N ‘Roll Racing. Japanese game publication Gematsu reported the note, but searching for the Blizzard Arcade collection on the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) site doesn’t pull anything up. It is not known if Blizzard Entertainment intended to reveal the collection during BlizzCon.

The full BlizzCon schedule has already been revealed and there is no mention of the Blizzard Arcade Collection, although it may be a surprise announcement during the digital event.

All three games in the Blizzard Arcade Collection are older titles in the company’s back catalog. The Lost Vikings, a puzzle platformer, was originally released in 1993 for retro consoles like the Amiga and NES before making its way to Battle.net as a free download in 2014. The cinematic platformer Blackthorne and The Rock N ‘Roll Racing vehicle combat racer followed a similar trajectory becoming free downloads on Battle.net in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

This is not the only information to have leaked before the start of BlizzCon Online. Details of upcoming World of Warcraft content, such as the re-release of The Burning Crusade expansion and the upcoming Chains of Domination update from Shadowlands, have been reportedly revealed by accident. It has been reported that Blizzard Entertainment published these press releases early.

This year, BlizzConline will provide updates on important projects coming from Blizzard. This includes a “preview” of something related to Overwatch 2, potential details on the major Diablo games (Diablo IV and Diablo Immortal), and more Hearthstone content.
