Because of French labor legislation, about 400 Blizzard employees in Versailles, France, could wait months to see if they lost their jobs or not.
This news follows massive layoffs that hit Activision Blizzard employees earlier in the week, leaving about 8% of people unemployed.

As reported by Kotaku, Blizzard's French office told its staff on Wednesday that 134 out of 400 jobs would be cut.
It is worth noting that this does not necessarily mean that Blizzard will lay off 134 people, as some employees may be offered job opportunities in the company's other European offices in Cork, Ireland or The Hague in the Netherlands.
However, this is not yet a good position to occupy, especially for those who can not (or have no desire) to settle in a new country.
In addition, the complicated French labor legislation makes it difficult to dismiss immediately and without notice. This is why the Blizzard office in Versailles (responsible for public relations, localization, customer support and marketing for their games in Europe) holds this position.
