Blizzard publishes the first teaser of the Overwatch archive

Blizzard released the first teaser for the upcoming Overwatch Archive event on Sunday.

The teaser, published on the official Overwatch Twitter site, is a local newspaper in Havana, Cuba, published in 2060, which features two articles on the front page. The newspaper itself is in Spanish, but a publication on the Overwatch website translates the two articles into English.

The first and biggest story is about a local distillery known as Don Rumbotico. According to the article, the distillery once belonged to the Diaz family. Years ago, an anonymous financial group offered to buy it, but the family refused.

After the refusal, shipments began to disappear and the family's distillery was set on fire in a suspected arson. The family was forced to sell to the financial group.

The financial group has since turned Don Rumbotico into a global brand. In recent years he has also purchased the Havana Maritime Fort and transformed this historic monument into an operational base. Soldiers and helicopters patrol her regularly, and her work is hidden from the public.

The second article deals with the next hurricane Fernand, a major storm that is expected to hit Cuba in the coming week.

The historical implications of these articles are numerous. It is likely that the mysterious financial group called Talon and that his purchases are linked one way or another to his plan for the world. The exact functioning of these links will remain unknown.

It is also likely that the events described in this article will form the basis of the Archives history mission that will be published concurrently with the event.

Blizzard has not yet announced the start of the event.
