Blizzard Entertainment sues Chinese developer Sina Games for allegedly copying its Warcraft series with free mobile title Glorious Saga.

According to Polygon, Blizzard sued in California on Aug. 16 and claimed that Glorious Saga was actually a direct scam of Warcraft.

"[Sina Games] did not just copy some discrete elements of Blizzard Warcraft Games; they create a game whose content is almost entirely copied from Warcraft games and related products ", reads the costume.

"All the characters in the counterfeit game were copied from a character in the game Warcraft games, and many even carry the names of popular characters in the Warcraft games such as "Jaina Proudmoore", "Gul'dan" and "Malfurion". "

The workshop goes on to claim that every creature, monster, animal, and vehicle in Glorious Saga is also copied from Warcraft, with specific sound cues, sound effects and even the game icon (pictured below).

Blizzard is seeking a court order to terminate the offense and is asking Sina to pay more than $ 150,000 per counterfeit job as compensation for "serious and irreparable harm" to her business.

Since the filing of the complaint, Sina Games has taken Glorious Saga offline. In an article on Facebook, the company explained that all the servers had been shut down, but it failed to confirm that the move was a response to the lawsuit.
