Blizzard’s game launcher Battle.net is getting a big update, which should make it easier to navigate your library. Blizzard has tested the Battle.net 2.0 changes on its beta server. Now the changes are official and roll out for everyone.
According to the press release, five big changes aim to improve the daily use of the launcher:
1. Improved navigation and layout: you can now add your games to your favorites and organize them for easy access
2. A much larger layout for news and full page game content
3. A redesigned social pane so you can better see your friends and what they are doing in each game tab
4. Major Accessibility Improvements: We’ve added the ability to navigate most apps with your keyboard, increased support for our screen reader and improved color contrast.
5. A new consolidated notification center for messages and download status
Some parts of North America will receive the patch first and then it will be used to test the stability of the launcher. If things go well, more accounts will receive the update in the coming weeks, including players from other regions.
Blizzard also says it intends to continue developing Battle.net, and this is “just the start of new features to come.” He continued, “We will continue to iterate, improve, and add to the app over time.”
