If both Democratic candidates win in Georgia, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will become the deciding vote in any Senate deadlock.

The second round is expected to be one of the costliest in Senate history. More than $ 46 million has been spent on the airwaves of the two races since election day, Nov. 3, according to ad tracking company Advertising Analytics.
It is expected that an additional $ 214 million worth of ads will be rolled out in the coming weeks, even as more and more dollars are continually being invested to win pre-election efforts.

Georgia state law requires political candidates to obtain at least 50% of the vote to win. Because neither Ossoff and Warnock, nor Georgia Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler hit that target earlier this month, Georgia will hold a second round election on January 5.
