A new Back 4 Blood comparison video has been shared online highlighting the differences between current generation consoles and PC versions of the game,
The new video, based on the open beta currently available in early access for anyone who pre-ordered the game, was shared online by ElAnalistaDeBits, who also confirmed that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will run at a 2160p resolution in Act 1, although dynamic resolution could be used in other areas. Additionally, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions seem to work quite similarly, with the only major differences being with the PC version, which has a higher default FOV and more.
– The resolution was checked throughout Act 1. The PS5 and the X series run at 2160p and the S series at 1296p. I do not exclude that they may have dynamic resolutions in other areas.
– The PC Back 4 Blood works with an RTX 3080 with Nvidia DLSS.
– Xbox versions have deviations in gamma and contrast which can be corrected in game settings or on your own TV.
– On PC, we have a larger FOV by default compared to the console version. On consoles, we cannot change this setting.
– All versions run at 60FPS.
– Charging times practically the same in all versions.
– PC has an advantage over console versions in parameters such as anisotropic filtering and ambient occlusion, but in general they all keep a very similar level.
Back 4 Blood launches on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on October 12. Learn more about the game by checking out my preview based on the Open Beta.
What open beta amplifies over alpha are Corruption Cards, special cards that introduce some sort of world events, such as higher spawn rates for special types of Ridden, which grant bonuses. additional bonuses if players manage to complete an act with them active. The Corruption maps are quite varied and they are sure to make each race different from each other in conjunction with the Game Director AI system which changes spawns and loot depending on the current situation.
