This year’s big live bowling game is over, I believe, so Cyanide Studio is eagerly awaiting its own Blood Bowl 3 sports game. In a new trailer for the orc and elf football game, the creators say ‘it will be launched in August of this year.

If you are not familiar with this particular type of fantasy football, Cyanide describes it as “an American football-inspired turn-based strategy game set in the fantasy world of Warhammer where elves, humans, orcs and other creatures fight for the ball with shoulder charges, kicks, punches and weapons of varying degrees of lethality (and legality by the referee). ”

Blood Bowl 3 will kick off with 12 fantastic starting teams, including orcs, dark elves, humans, dwarves and more. You can check out the full list in Cyanide’s post. Blood Bowl 2 started out with just eight teams and then released a number of more as DLC.

Adam Smith (RPS in peace) praises the origins of the Blood Bowl table and says in his Blood Bowl 2 review that the previous adaptation of Cyanide was pretty good. “There’s nothing quite like recognizing that you’re not going to score in the last half-round and focusing all your efforts on wiping out the opposing team instead. Especially when they’re High Elves.”

US PC gamers can find Blood Bowl 3 on Steam where it launches in August. It will also be available on PlayStations, Xbox Box, and Nintendo Switch.
