COLUMBUS, Ohio – It only took five games and one final count with coach John Tortorella for Pierre-Luc Dubois to achieve his wish.

The Blue Jackets are set to trade their disgruntled No.1 center, sources told The Athletic on Friday night, a deal expected to be done this weekend, possibly as early as Saturday.

The Winnipeg Jets would be Dubois’ first, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger, but the Anaheim Ducks, Montreal Canadiens and perhaps one other club are also in the squad.

The Blue Jackets have informed Dubois he will be in good health for Saturday’s 2 p.m. game against Tampa Bay at Nationwide Arena, provided he is still on the puck drop lineup. This decision is not punitive after his long bench of play Thursday, but rather on the protection of assets.

Dubois almost certainly played his last game for the Blue Jackets.
