“Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after collapsing on the set of AMC, Variety confirmed.
Odenkirk is currently in production on the sixth and final season of “Better Call Saul”, a spin-off of the hugely popular “Breaking Bad” series. Odenkirk collapsed on the show’s set in New Mexico on Tuesday, and team members immediately called an ambulance. Odenkirk is still receiving medical attention, although the cause of the collapse has not been revealed.
Odenkirk, 58, plays crook lawyer Saul Goodman in “Better Call Saul” and “Breaking Bad”. “Better Call Saul” centers on transforming the character of Jimmy McGill with a criminal lean to powerful criminal defense attorney Saul. Odenkirk’s work on “Better Call Saul” earned him four Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor in a Dramatic Television Series and four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Leading Actor in a Drama Series.
Odenkirk recently starred in the action film “Nobody”, which received generally favorable reviews from critics and debuted to top the box office charts. In an interview with Variety Regarding the film, Odenkirk discussed becoming a real action star for the role.
