Netflix has announced that the sixth season of the animated comedy for adults would be the last. The streamer also revealed that the final season would be broadcast in two parts, the first on October 25, 2019 and the second on January 31, 2020.

"BoJack Horseman" features Arnett's voice as a former 90s sitcom who is also a horse, as well as the voices of Amy Sedaris, Alison Brie, Paul F. Tomkins and Aaron Paul. Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the series is produced by Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright. Arnett and Paul also perform.

Fans will still be able to watch "BoJack" reruns on Comedy Central, after the cable company acquired the rights in October 2018 from Debmar-Mercury, Lionsgate, and producer Tornante Company. At the time, the deal was considered the first US linear syndication deal of its kind for an original Netflix series.

Netflix has released a trailer for the last season in which BoJack writes a letter to her friend Diane (Brie) in rehab, in which he re-evaluates how he wants to live his life from now on.

"Whenever someone leaves rehabilitation, it makes you think of your own progress. I accepted the idea that I could not change, but it's mostly how stupid I was not to have done that earlier. I've spent so many years being unhappy because I thought it was the only way to be and I do not want to be, "BoJack writes.
